Air NZ becomes first major airline to dump emissions targets
Air New Zealand has withdrawn its emissions reduction target as delays in getting new, more efficient aircraft and a lack of policy coordination around production of sustainable aviation fuels dash the aviation industry’s decarbonisation goals.
Auckland-based Air New Zealand became the first major airline to formally abandon its commitment to the industry’s gold standard benchmark on Tuesday.
