This tiny government office is gunning for the big four

The federal government’s internal consulting service is set to double in size to almost 40 staff in the next financial year, as demand outstrips capacity for the nascent advisory unit.
The unit’s head, former McKinsey and Bain consultant Andrew Nipe, told Senate estimates on Thursday the outfit had “significantly more requests for work than we have the ability to satisfy” and was already working on a range of projects across the public service.
