    Cryptocurrency traders in Australia’s have welcomed signs from Donald Trump that he would loosen industry regulation, hoping that such moves in the US would pave the way for friendlier policies at home.

    They say pledges by the Republican nominee for the November election to end the “persecution” of the industry and sack Securities and Exchange Commission chairman Gary Gensler, who is unpopular among the crypto set, are a good start.
