    Federal and state government energy bill subsidies will not help get inflation under control, and if anything, big-spending public sector budgets are making the problem worse, the Reserve Bank of Australia has warned.

    The central bank has over two days undermined the Albanese government’s central claim that its cost-of-living relief policies, including $300 household energy bill subsidies, would help get inflation back towards the RBA’s target.
