Coles boss banks on efficiency gains from new warehouse

Coles boss Leah Weckert says better product availability will translate to higher sales, justifying the supermarket giant’s investment in a new distribution centre in western Sydney.

Ms Weckert opened Coles’ second automated distribution centre embedded with technology from Germany’s Witron on Tuesday after Coles had success with a similar model introduced in April last year in Brisbane’s Redbank.
