    The leader of the Liberal Party in South Australia, David Speirs, has angrily criticised internal factional squabbles as he resigned after failing to make any inroads into the strong position of Premier Peter Malinauskas.

    Mr Speirs, 39, who grew up in Scotland and migrated to Australia with his parents in 2002, vowed on Thursday that he would not undermine anyone as the party heads towards a difficult March 2026 election.
