This fall has truly been a roller coaster ride. From new COVID-19 Delta cases to back-to-school adventures to the unexpected (and very unwelcome) arrival of Ida, it feels like we all are reeling.
First and foremost, our thoughts remain with our neighbors that have been hardest hit. For those of us who endured the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, we remember those long days of clean up and recovery. We know that while many things may be lost, spirits remain strong. We’ve included a list of resources for those of us that are fortunate enough to lend a helping hand through donations of time, supplies or money.
With the arrival of October, we remain hopeful that fall is bringing with it cooler temperatures, calmer weather and some costumed fun. In this issue, we celebrate spooky season the way only New Orleans can, with ghostly stories, haunted history, creepy costumes, frightful events and more fun for everyone.
We’ve also put together our fall travel planner so that you can get a jump on a winter holiday, an escape in the new year or early spring break, with trips near and far. Plus, we have the latest restaurant news, food, drinks, fun and more to fill your fall with plenty of things to do and places to go.
