What sets you apart from your competition?
First, our team—we’re dedicated to getting the job done right the first time. Owners Harold LeBlanc and Robbie Gwinn oversee each project while an in-house accountant and an estimator ensure projects are financially sound. Individually assigned project managers see projects from inception through completion, and our exceptional field crew of skilled carpenters has multifaceted skill sets.
Secondly, our system—we utilize an all-in-one, cloud-based software to set budgets, communicate with clients, schedule work, and keep detailed tabs on job site progress, which allows us to spend more time in the field and with clients.
What is the best feedback you’ve ever gotten?
We recently took on a client who had an unfortunate experience with her previous contractor. A Hurricane Ida insurance job, the project had stalled and the client had lost hope. We had the opportunity to correct work done by the previous contractor, take on the remainder, and get her back into her home. Upon completion, she broke down into tears, thanking us for being there for her “in the darkest of days.”
We felt like we were just doing our job, but it means something greater to help our community get back on its feet.
Why did you become a builder?
Constructing a new home or renovating a historic building is fascinating. An obsession with the engineering and design of a home brought us here. We’re always educating our team on new construction methods and technologies to provide the highest quality builds. Understanding a client’s vision allows us to create the transformation they seek, and challenges force us to get creative and think outside the box. Problem solving is essential to a builder’s success—ultimately, our most challenging projects typically end up becoming the most gratifying.
