Entergy is committed to this community. As storms impact New Orleans and the Gulf Coast with more frequency and severity, Entergy New Orleans is at the forefront of building preparedness and resilience. Its employees recognize challenges as an opportunity to innovate. The company’s Entergy Future Ready resilience plan, recently filed with the New Orleans City Council, will reduce the duration of power outages following major storms and storm restoration costs. Its objective is twofold: bolster the New Orleans grid and hasten power restoration.

“I like to work in New Orleans because there’s a new challenge every day, and at Entergy New Orleans, we’re one big family,” says Brennan Breaux, Senior Lineworker. “When I was a kid, I’d see guys in bucket trucks and climbing poles, and I thought it was amazing. I decided that’s what I wanted to do. I wanted to keep the power flowing.”

Entergy’s vision, “We Power Life,” means more than just keeping the lights on and power and gas safely flowing. It also means strategically investing in vital initiatives that ensure communities remain vibrant and growing. Entergy employees volunteer tens of thousands of hours a year supporting local communities. Entergy New Orleans is one of five operating companies of Entergy Corporation, the only Fortune 500 company still headquartered in New Orleans.
