Hope Goldman Meyer

Hope Goldman Meyer has been enamored with fine jewelry for as long as she can remember. Her parents Lynne and Jerome Goldman instilled in her a deep appreciation for art, architecture, and jewelry, and though she has no family connections in the jewelry industry, Hope was determined to carve her own path.

After graduating from college, Hope left New Orleans for New York City, where she enrolled in the prestigious Gemological Institute of America. As a GIA Graduate Gemologist, she brought her sparkle back home to the South, where she honed her skills on Royal Street before venturing out on her own.

Today, with over 25 years of experience, Hope operates a thriving fine jewelry boutique inside Empire Antiques on Magazine Street. Her establishment, HGM Fine Jewelry, offers bespoke services and “jewelry worthy of a conversation” to discerning clients. HGM Fine Jewelry boasts a curated collection of antique, estate, and designer jewelry. Last year, British Vogue featured HGM Fine Jewelry in its commemoration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

Beyond her work and family, Hope is committed to the local community and supports organizations such as the Metropolitan Crime Commission, Liberty’s Kitchen, Court Watch NOLA, and Youth Empowerment Project.
