Inside the Paris ‘homes’ of the world’s best athletes
Swedish pole-vaulting champion Armand Duplantis is hungover. It’s the day after he made Olympic history by clearing 6.25 metres with the gold medal already in the bag, and he’s just walked into the Hotel de Poulpry, a historic venue around the corner from the Musée d’Orsay.
It has been transformed into the House of Omega, drenched in the brand’s iconic red and visions of watches. Omega is the official timekeeper of the Olympic Games, but is also a major sponsor of athletes, including Duplantis and Australian swimming medal magnet Kaylee McKeown.
