    Liontown pleads case for fast-tracking lithium royalty relief

    Liontown Resources boss Tony Ottaviano has put his hand up for government assistance less than a week after the company declared first production at its flagship West Australian lithium mine.

    Mr Ottaviano said the WA government should consider royalty relief for the lithium sector with the spodumene price falling to $US870 ($1337) a tonne, and the global sharemarket meltdown threatening demand for electric vehicles.
