Five partners in Corrs Chambers Westgarth’s employment practice are in discussions to leave the firm for rival King & Wood Mallesons.

The highly regarded employment group split from the vast majority of the firm earlier this year when a number of its members voted against a proposal to award an extraordinary multi-year contract extension to chief executive Gavin MacLaren worth tens of millions of dollars.
