    South Australia’s new mega university has begun recruiting international students for its inaugural 2026 intake as the federal government’s migration reforms bite hard on the education sector.

    The new logo and branding for Adelaide University – a merger of the 150-year-old University of Adelaide and its North Terrace neighbour, the 30-year-old University of South Australia – was unveiled in front of 3000 staff on Monday. And while the two vice chancellors Peter Hoj and David Lloyd had earlier predicted it might be met with equal parts jubilation and judgment, it was received with a round of applause.
