Cannon-Brookes, Turnbull-backed solar maker cuts staff, replaces CEO

SunDrive, a high-tech solar panel manufacturer backed by Mike Cannon-Brookes and Malcolm Turnbull, is halving the number of staff even as it courts global partners for its next stage of development.
The restructure of SunDrive, which includes the replacement of its chief executive, will raise new questions about Labor’s controversial $1 billion Solar Sunshot incentives program, which has already been criticised by economists, ahead of the next federal election.
