    The money shot in Thursday’s announcement by Anthony Albanese was not him flagging a reasonably modest frontbench reshuffle on Sunday, but the emphasis on stability.

    After the chaos of the Rudd/Gillard/Rudd and the Abbott/Turnbull/Morrison years, during which ministerial shake-ups became depressingly frequent occurrences, the prime minister was entitled to highlight what has been a signature strength of his government.
