    Here we are, 12 years later, with at least one school generation having started and finished their education, and there’s still no needs-based Gonski funding for disadvantaged students.

    The Year 12 class of 2024 started its school journey in 2012, the same year the Gonski report recommended a new approach to school funding.

    The vision was that funding be needs-based for each student, with additional loadings for students experiencing disadvantage.
