Top law firms locked in negotiations for lucrative panel

Four of Australia’s largest law firms remain locked in negotiations for a place on the federal government’s legal services panel, a month after the initial list of successful applicants was released.

Corrs Chambers Westgarth, Herbert Smith Freehills, King & Wood Mallesons and MinterEllison have yet to agree terms with the Attorney-General’s Department for a position on the lucrative panel, which brought in more than $230 million of work last financial year for major billers.
