    Laws will be rushed into federal parliament next week to force four construction branches of the CFMEU into administration after the union failed to meet the Albanese government’s demand to agree to the takeover.

    Workplace Relations Minister Murray Watt said on Friday that he had given the construction and general division a strict deadline of 5pm the day before to accept the Fair Work Commission’s bid to install an independent administrator in Victoria, Tasmania, NSW and Queensland.
